Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the PlanHalo app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, and this website, handle information.
1. Developer and contact
PlanHalo is developed by JIN KIM. For privacy or support questions, email huseng8810@gmail.com.
2. Information in the app
PlanHalo has no PlanHalo account registration, advertising identifier, advertising or analytics SDK. The app does not track users. Planner content is saved on your device first: tasks, events, projects, notes, habits, focus records, selected images, handwriting and preferences.
This content supports your planner, reminders, imports, exports and optional sync. It is not sold or used for advertising or profiling.
3. iCloud sync
Optional cross-device sync uses the CloudKit private database associated with your own Apple account. PlanHalo does not operate a separate server for your planner content. Sync depends on iCloud, network access and a valid signed app. Offline changes remain on your device while waiting for a connection. Without iCloud, your local planner continues to work. Apple handles iCloud under its service terms and privacy policy.
4. Optional permissions
- Notifications: task, event and focus reminders are scheduled locally. Today and overdue follow-up reminders are also local; their interval, active hours and categories can be changed or disabled in Settings. Delivery follows your system notification settings.
- Calendar: optional access reads existing Apple Calendar events. PlanHalo does not create, edit or delete those calendar events.
- Photos: only the images you select for your content are imported.
- Spotlight: indexing is off by default. Only the categories you enable are indexed on that device.
- Mac voice input: microphone and Apple Speech authorization are requested when you choose voice input. On-device recognition is used when the selected language supports it; otherwise Apple Speech may process recognition. Apple’s privacy policy and service terms apply. PlanHalo does not store original voice recordings on a separate server. Transcribed text becomes task content only when you save it.
- Files: import and export use files you select. Mac file access is limited to user-selected files and folders.
You can revoke system permissions in your device’s settings and turn optional features off in PlanHalo.
5. Backups and diagnostics
You can export or import a JSON backup in Settings. Exported files remain where you save them. A diagnostic export can contain app version, device, sync status and error codes; it does not include task titles or note bodies. You choose whether to share that file.
6. Website and support
This site has no account, payment or contact form and adds no advertising or analytics cookies. Contact links open your mail app. The hosting provider may process connection logs such as IP address, browser information and request time for operation and security. PlanHalo does not use those logs to build advertising profiles.
If you email support, the developer receives the information you choose to send. The in-app contact email can include the app version and operating system to help diagnose an issue. Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to answer and support your request. You can ask for its deletion, subject to any legally required retention.
7. Retention and deletion
Use the app’s deletion and trash controls to remove planner items. With sync enabled, deletion state is sent to iCloud; information needed for recovery and synchronization may remain. Removing the app does not delete content across all devices, iCloud and backup files. Manage iCloud app data in your Apple account’s iCloud storage settings and delete exported backups from their saved location.
8. Sharing and protection
Planner content is not sold or shared with advertising providers. Apple services handle iCloud, calendar, notifications and speech when you choose those features. Support email is handled by the mail services used to send and receive it. App logs do not include task titles or note bodies.
9. Children and your choices
PlanHalo does not target children for personal data collection. You can view and edit your planner on your devices, revoke permissions, disable sync and request access, correction or deletion of information you have sent to the developer by emailing huseng8810@gmail.com. Planner content stored only on your devices and in your private iCloud database is managed through those devices and your Apple account.
10. Updates
Changes to this policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
